Hoosier Hills MLK Day Volunteers

As the calendar year begins to wrap up, we at the food bank are already looking ahead to the exciting events that will be kicking off 2008! First and foremost is Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Day - "A Day On, Not A Day Off". Taking place on Monday, January 21, 2008, we will be hosting
volunteers all day long from 9 am through 7pm.

We will be doing similar work this year folding paper bags and placing stickers on them in preparation for our large Live From Bloomington food drive in April. Volunteers are welcome to decorate bags with messages of hunger, as done last year. A few groups may be able to work at the Cook Warehouse on our two USDA programs, packing boxes of food or staging pallets in preparation for distribution. We are also looking for additional help for our Repack session that evening, which will begin at 5:30pm.

Please get back to me as soon as possible to schedule a time for your group to come help out! Even if you are not sure of the exact number of volunteers, schedule a block of time now before the day fills up!! We greatly appreciated all of your help last year and really hope we can
share the day with you all again this January!
