Coming Out Story

Join us at the GLBTSSS office on National Coming Out Day, October 11th, to participate in a video-taping of your Coming Out Story. This is a chance for YOU to tell your own coming out stories on video. The rewards are many; you'll help others along the way by letting them know their struggle isn't a new one. We'll also give you a copy of your story on dvd as a thank you. Between 9am and 4pm on October 11th we'll be recording short video interviews in the GLBTSSS office of those who wish to participate (info to sign up following). Participants will be able to choose from a list which question they wish to answer. These short interviews will be part of a later project which could become a sort of documentary and/or short video presentations on the GLBTSSS website. Possible questions would include:

* How old were you when you first knew you were gay, lesbian, bisexual, etc.? How did you know?
* When did you start telling people about your sexual orientation?
* How did your family and friends react?
* Were you surprised by the reactions you received?
* Now that you?re out, do you feel that you are a better person/are you happier?

If you are interested in participating in this project, stop by the GLBTSSS office between now and October 11th to sign up for a 7-minute time slot and to look over the complete list of questions.
