Shalom Community Center Volunteer Orientation and Training

Kitchen Volunteers- are needed to help prepare, serve and clean up after the breakfast and lunch meals. We prefer a minimum of a two-hour shift commitment a week.

Hospitality Volunteers- work at the front desk, answer the telephone, take and distribute messages and mail, provide referral information, register guests for showers, use of laundry facilities, and check items in and out of long and short-term storage. We prefer volunteers commit to a minimum of one two-hour shift a week and must attend the hospitality training.

Both experiences allow for valuable interaction with both our guests and staff. If you would like to explore more of the Shalom’s mission, then we welcome you to check out our website: http://cgi.hoosier.net/~shalom/home/
